Holiday Itinerary - Day by Day Travel Details:
Day 1 :
On arrival to Delhi – Indira Gandhi International airport , you will be received by our representative, who will receive you and will accompany for check in to the booked hotel.
Day 2 :
After breakfast, to go for sightseeing Delhi and visit famous places of Delhi like the Red fort ; Jama Masjid ; to do a Rickshaw ride of Old Delhi and see the colourful street. Thereafter to visit New Delhi and to see important monuments like the Humayun Tomb Qutab Minar , India Gate etc and the government buildings like Presidents house, the Parliament house etc.
Later in the evening to return to the booked hotel.
Day 3 :
After early morning breakfast, to leave for Sariska , the national wild life sanctuary park , which is about 185 kms and takes about 5 hours drive.
On arrival to check into the Hunting lodge of the royal family. Late afternoon to take a tour in Jeep of the Park where you might see rare specious of Bengal Tigers. Return to the lodge in the evening hours and night stay in Hunting lodge.
Day 4 :
After breakfast to go for another repeat tour of the national wild life sanctuary park in Jeep and get a chance to see the Tigers again. Afternoon to return to the Lodge and thereafter to check out and drive to Jaipur, which is 105 kms and would take about 3 hours drive.
Evening to arrive in Jaipur and check into the booked hotel.
Rest of the evening at leisure.
Night stay in Jaipur.
Day 5 :
After breakfast , to visit the famous Fort Amber which is on the outskirts of Jaipur,and was an important fort for the Rajput civilization.On entering the fort you would be able to see the Palaces , the pavilions of rare beauty, small but precious temple of Goddess Kali.
Thereafter , to visit the Jaipur city , which is also called the pink city, including the Hawa Mahal, the city palace , museum, the Astronomical observatory called Jantar Mantar.
Evening to return to the hotel and be at leisure.
Night stay in Jaipur.
Day 6 : Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikhri – Agra { 235 kms / 6 hours drive }
After breakfast to check out of the hotel and travel to Agra and on way to visit Fatehpur Sikhri, the 16th century Moghul capital, and was abandoned after 14 years. Still you will be able to see the ancient palaces , buildings of rare beauty built with red stone slabs.
On arrival to Agra, to check into the booked hotel.After lunch, to visit the famous Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world and thereafter to return to the hotel in a horse driven vehicle called “Tonga.”
Evening at leisure.
Day 7 : Agra – Orcha – Khajuraho.
After early breakfast to check out from the hotel and take train for Orcha around 8 ish.To visit the ancient and tranquil town and in particular the Jehangir Palace, built in 1606, on the occasion of emperor”s visit.Also you will see some temples of tourist interest. In the evening to leave for Khajuraho and to check into the booked hotel.
Night stay in Khajuraho.
Day 8 : Khajuraho
After breakfast to visit the famous city of temples, a marvel of sacred Indian architecture.
Temples on the west are famous for their erotic sculptures and the ones on the east are famous for their Jain culture.Later, to return to the hotel and be at leisure.
Night stay in Khajuraho.
Day 9 : Khajuraho – Varanasi
After breakfast , to travel by air to Varanasi. On arrival in the afternoon to check into the booked hotel. Later in the afternoon to visit the famous Sarnath, where Buddha had his first revelation. Later in the evening to visit the ghats for watching the evening prayers and thereafter to return to the hotel.
Night stay in Varanasi.
Day 10 : Varanasi – Delhi – onward journey plans
To rise before the sunrise and go for boat ride, on the river Ganga and to witness the purification rituals of pilgrims at the time of sunrise.Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Thereafter to visit the old city on foot and to see the Aurangzeb mosque. Return to the hotel for lunch around noon time.
Thereafter , to check out and transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi and depending on itinerary plans to carry on with onward journey.
